A Refreshing Perspective
I aim to create a safe space where clients come to be encouraged, challenged, and revitalized. I strive to help my clients change patterns, address overwhelming feelings and navigate difficult events. I am inquisitive and I value acceptance, collaboration and attentive listening.
I have a broad range of lived experience which assists me in my work: prior to pursuing my Masters, I was a teacher, I worked in the fitness industry, and had a career in construction. I have lived across Western Canada and also overseas for a time. I enjoy hiking with my family, playing chess and mountain biking.
Counselling is a space where I can offer you support, compassion, and a fresh perspective. Walking alongside you as you seek change, validating your feelings, listening to your burdens and helping ground you during difficult times. I use an eclectic approach and draw from Narrative Therapy, CBT, and mindfulness-based approaches in our work together.
