Counselling Intern

A Refreshing Perspective

As a student counselor currently in the final steps of my master's program, I aim to create a safe space where clients come to be encouraged, challenged, and revitalized.   I strive to help my clients change patterns, address overwhelming feelings and navigate difficult events.  I am inquisitive and I value acceptance, collaboration and attentive listening.

I have a broad range of lived experience which assists me in my work: prior to pursuing my Masters, I was a teacher, I worked in the fitness industry, and had a career in construction. I have lived across Western Canada and also overseas for a time.  I enjoy hiking with my family, playing chess and mountain biking.

Counselling is a space where I can offer you support, compassion, and a fresh perspective. Walking alongside you as you seek change, validating your feelings, listening to your burdens and helping ground you during difficult times.  I use an eclectic approach and draw from Narrative Therapy, CBT, and mindfulness-based approaches in our work together.

*From the Clinical Director:  Craig is a Master’s level student in Counselling Psychology. He has completed his graduate studies coursework and is qualified to provided counselling services under the clinical supervision of his practicum supervisor, Andrew Betram, RCC MA MFT.
