Experience, Expertise, and Care
I began my work in therapy many years ago when I realized how important people's stories are to their sense of identity and making sense of their personal experiences and the world around them. Everyone has their own story, their unique perspective based on their experiences, the families they grew up with, and the history and culture they have inherited. People are amazing and I appreciate that I have been honored by so many wonderful people sharing their stories, experiences, challenges, and successes with me over the years.

As a clinical counsellor, I use an integrated approach in my practice that considers people from a developmental perspective or “across the lifespan”. Using an integrated approach allows me to use our time together in a way that fits and aligns with your circumstances and goals. When working together we can explore what your core values are, your strengths, your hopes and dreams, as well as the concerns and challenges that are getting in the way of your happiness. This approach also considers that people are biological beings with experiences and neurological characteristics that can affect the way we relate to ourselves and the world. My approach is client-centered, developmentally aware, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and attachment-based. I specialize in individual and couples counselling where someone is struggling with a life transition, relationships, depression, anxiety, conflict, trauma, grief and loss, identity, Indigenous concerns, and substance use.

My training and experience include the following modalities:
-
Adlerian (Individual) psychology, Jungian (Analytical) psychology, and Depth psychology
-
Attachment-based theory and therapies: including EFT and EFFT
-
Narrative Therapy, including Indigenous approaches to Narrative Therapy
